The most beauteous of the Grecian Escape collection makes its debut this week: Golden Olympia and Rhodes. What set these notches above the rest are their chains, the creme de la creme of my entire chain inventory. A startling discovery I made in both Tokyo and Hong Kong is the gulf of difference between handmade and machine-made chains. A chat with chain manufacturers reveal that that even at a wholesale level, handmade chains are easily 600—800 times more costly than regular ones!! I kid you not. But take a good look at the intricate patterns and shapes of the gold-plated and rhodium chains below, and one can roughly fathom the number of manhours it took to create and link them, bit by bit together. And if like me, you get the opportunity to feel, not just ogle, at them, you wouldn’t be able to say no to these. While most of the Grecian Escape necklaces come under $250, these limited edition lovelies are $389 each. Truly for the deserving. Exclusively in Colette.

Golden Olympia necklace.

Rhodes necklace.

Bejewelled necklace. A spin-off from De-lovely though with far more interesting detailing such as the swirly emerald glass pendant.
